An Intimate India Immersion At the Feet of Arunachala, February 1-13, 2027
February 1-13, 2027 | Sacred Arunachala in Tamil Nadu, with 2 days in Pondicherry, South India
An Immersion into the Timeless Spirit of Arunachala
I am feeling the spark of India again, with all its soft and vibrant facets…deep, timeless, and profoundly transformative.
And with great joy, the India Immersion 2027 is now open for enrollment.
Are you feeling the call?
Early mornings near Arunachala…chai simmering somewhere, soft light, temple bells in the distance, and the quiet sense that nothing needs to happen immediately. A different rhythm unfolds there…simple, sacred, deeply alive.
We are honored to offer this intimate 8-person immersion into the mystical heart of Tamil Nadu, South India. This is a heartfelt invitation into something living and sacred…an intimate immersion into presence, simplicity, and the subtle spirituality woven into everyday life at the feet of Arunachala.
I am also very happy to share that my dear friend, sister, and colleague Elise Mitchell will be accompanying us throughout the journey as my full-time assistant, helping to lovingly support and hold the space for our time together.
Arunachala, the sacred mountain revered as Shiva Consciousness itself…there we will visit ancient temples and caves of sages, walk sacred paths, and immerse ourselves in a land where spirituality is still deeply alive. Each morning, we will explore the deeply nourishing “Minimalistic Movement” teachings I received from my Siddha teacher and Master PalPandian, rooted in the ancient AgaGuru lineage.
Again and again, I have witnessed how Arunachala quietly touches something deep within people…bringing clarity, humility, inner spaciousness, and transformation in ways difficult to describe.
During our days in Thiruvannamalai, we will stay in a simple yet comfortable guesthouse within walking distance of Ramana Maharshi’s Ashram, temples, vibrant markets, and little cafés. Our final two days will be spent in the coastal town of Pondicherry, allowing time to gently absorb and integrate the journey together.
Glimpses of the Journey
Sacred walks and quiet meditations at Ramana Maharshi Ashram, Virupaksha Cave & Skandasramam
Visits to powerful temples and sacred sites including Arunachaleswarar Temple, Adhi Annamalai, Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, the sacred octagonal shrine founded by Saint Swami Ramalinga (The Path of Divine Light), and a “hidden” Shiva/Shakti temple that opens only during Pradosham for special puja….and much more
Girivalam around Arunachala…walking barefoot (optional) around the sacred mountain..an experience of a lifetime
Personal Siddha consultations with highly skilled Siddha doctors, as well as a Varma Therapy session (if needed) for holistic support and healing. These doctors are deeply trained both academically and traditionally through Gurukulam studies with our Siddha Master.
Exploring the Five Elements through sacred places, ritual, nature, and subtle practices
Daily morning Siddha-based “Minimalistic Movement” practices from the ancient Siddha AgaGuru lineage to deepen presence and inner flow
Traditional sattvic cooking experience and five nourishing home-cooked meals prepared with love and healing spices
Private Kirtan (in the ricefields overlooking Arunachala), guest teachings, satsang, and spontaneous local experiences shaped by the group’s natural flow
Spacious time to wander through local markets and little shops, enjoy chai or coffee in charming cafés, and soak in the everyday rhythm of life in South India
Final Days in Pondicherry
Final Days in Pondicherry
We will complete our immersion with two soulful days in Pondicherry, where French charm and Indian spirituality gently intertwine.
Together we will:
Visit Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, and special Manakula Vinayagar Temple
Wander through quiet boulevards and pastel-colored streets
Enjoy cafés, ocean air, and time to softly integrate the journey together
Since this is India, where life often unfolds in its own beautiful and unpredictable rhythm, some experiences and details may naturally shift or change along the way.
Reflections from the Journey:
“Jutta’s India Immersion this past February to Tiruvannamalai and Pondicherry totally exceeded my expectations! For my husband and me, it was an extremely rare and meaningful travel experience. The trip was very well planned and thoughtfully created, and we felt safe and deeply supported by Jutta throughout the entire journey. We were immersed in the life of Tiru, a small spiritual town, and truly became part of the daily flow there. We were introduced to Siddha practices through Minimalistic Movement, and visited ancient and sacred temples where we were able to observe, and at times participate in the spiritual practices of the local people. We felt comfortable, yet stretched beyond the ordinary in the best possible way. We came away from the journey with so much to reflect upon and process. I am truly grateful we had this opportunity to experience a side of everyday life in India that is rarely seen by visitors.”
“Jutta, I am still absorbing and learning from our Immersion last February. I keep going back to how detailed and well planned the trip was. You took care of each participant, physically and emotionally, in your subtle way and wisdom. The journey was perfectly balanced between touring, seeing ancient temples, and experiencing how people keep their traditions alive as part of daily life. We learned more about Siddha and returned with some useful practices and tools through Minimalistic Movement and its philosophy, which help bring light into everyday life. This feels especially important in these stressful and violent times that, unfortunately, touch all of us. Speaking of light, I can still feel your guiding light every day, along with the fun and joy that you brought to all of us.Thank you for creating an experience that opened our hearts and connected us to a positive energy. I feel like I could join you again, Jutta.”
