Eden of Italy Retreat 2026! A Nourishing Retreat! June 22 - July 1, 2026

Dear All,

Yes… it’s happening again—Italy is calling.
Each year, this retreat becomes something I look forward to with my whole heart. I call it The Eden of Italy Retreat because that’s truly what it feels like: stepping into a lush, soulful garden of beauty, connection, and deep nourishment—a place that invites ease and renewal.

Tucked away in Northern Italy, with views of Lago Maggiore and the nearby Alps, this retreat offers more than just a stunning landscape. It’s a space to slow down, breathe in the fresh mountain and forest air, reconnect with yourself and nature, and be held in a small circle of women who value simplicity, depth, and true nourishment.

It’s not about doing more—but softening into what’s already here.
I would love to welcome you in 2026.

Our cozy and character-filled villa is tucked into the forest, with wide views of the lake and a unique microclimate that blends the gentle warmth of the Mediterranean with the freshness of the nearby mountains.

It’s an ideal place to slow down, return to your inner rhythm, and soak in the healing presence of nature—while also enjoying the rich, vibrant spirit of Italy.

I’m still carrying the joy and connection from our last retreat, and I’m happy to share the new dates: June 22 – July 1, 2026.

With only 6–7 spaces available, this intimate gathering offers a rare chance to nourish yourself deeply, inside and out. If this resonates, I warmly invite you to reserve your spot.

This retreat takes place in the breathtaking lake region of Northern Italy, surrounded by the Alps. The setting offers a rare combination of Mediterranean warmth and mountain stillness—deeply nourishing for body, heart, and spirit.

To keep the experience personal and spacious, the retreat is limited to just seven participants.

In Siddha and Ayurveda, balance and vitality come from living in tune with the five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space. During our days together, we’ll gently return to these rhythms—feeling the ground beneath our feet, the sun on our skin, the breeze in the trees, and the spaciousness that arises when we slow down and listen.

Our home for the retreat is a serene villa nestled in a lush hillside garden, with sweeping views of Lago Maggiore and the quiet strength of Monte Morissolo in the distance. At 600 meters above the lake, in the small village of Trarego Viggiona, the air is fresh and clear. Mornings are filled with birdsong, and the scent of trees and wild herbs drifts through the forest paths.

There are sun-drenched terraces to lounge on, shady corners for quiet reflection, and a forest trail that winds down to a hidden waterfall—perfect for a cold dip or simply sitting with the sounds of rushing water and rustling leaves. This land invites you to breathe more deeply, move more slowly, and come home to yourself.

The rooms are cozy and thoughtfully furnished with antique touches that reflect the character of the villa. Most offer balconies and beautiful views of the lake or surrounding hills. Your private room with its own bathroom offers a quiet space to rest, reflect, and enjoy the sweet Italian art of dolce far niente—the simple pleasure of doing nothing at all.

Each evening, Chef Thomas will delight us with lovingly prepared meals featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients and regional flavors. From nourishing four- or five-course dinners to our much-loved pizza night under the trees, every meal is a celebration of taste and togetherness.

Mornings begin with a generous breakfast buffet—fresh fruit, warm bread, local cheeses, and more—to start the day feeling nourished and well cared for.

As a special treat, we’ll enjoy pure, mineral-rich spring water collected daily from the village’s mountain source—a refreshing gift from the land itself.

Each morning, Jutta will gently guide us through a blend of movement, breathwork (pranayama), and meditation. These practices are designed to help us soften the edges, feel more deeply within, and shift out of the mechanical rhythm of daily life.

It’s a time to come home to your body, reconnect with your breath, and awaken a quiet sense of aliveness—present, grounded, and real.

When the group’s flow allows, guest teacher Gerd Ziegler may offer a powerful afternoon session. Past years have included deeply healing experiences such as Family Constellation Work held in the forest and an exploration of ancient Stone Circles as spaces of power and protection. Each offering arises organically, attuned to the energy and needs of the group.

Jutta has thoughtfully curated a handful of excursions that allow you to experience the essence of this region—woven naturally into the rhythm of the retreat, without ever feeling like a structured tour. It’s relaxed, meaningful, and truly memorable.

One highlight is a ferry ride across Lago Maggiore to visit the enchanting Borromean Islands, once adored by Ernest Hemingway. Each island holds its own beauty and character.

We’ll spend a day at the serene Lago d’Orta, visiting the quiet island of San Giulio—home to a 12th-century basilica and an active monastery. In silence, we’ll walk the island’s meditative “Path of Silence,” letting the stillness guide us inward. Afterwards, a short boat ride brings us back to the car-free town of Orta, where we’ll have time to wander cobbled lanes, relax in sunlit piazzas, and enjoy a meal or coffee in one of the family-run cafés overlooking the water.

On Sunday morning, we’ll take a peaceful forest walk with stunning lake views, leading us down to the vibrant market in the lakeside town of Cannobio. This bustling market offers everything from local cheeses and handmade goods to vintage treasures.

Cannobio’s lakefront promenade—lined with beautifully preserved buildings from the 17th to 19th century—is one of the most charming in the region. It’s the perfect place to stroll, browse, and soak in the lively yet relaxed atmosphere.

There will be time to swim in the clear waters of the lake and dip into fresh, cold mountain streams—an invigorating and deeply healing experience.

If the weather allows, we’ll hike to a mountain ridge with wide, breathtaking views of the surrounding Alps.

We’ll also explore nearby forest trails, pause for meditation at a beautiful waterfall, and wander through small villages where local artists and quiet corners invite curiosity and reflection.

In some afternoons, we’ll have time to wander the cobbled streets of Cannobio, Cannero Riviera, or Verbania—soaking in the charm of these historic lakeside towns. You might browse a few local shops, enjoy a creamy gelato or a cappuccino at a sunny café, share a pizza, or take a refreshing dip in the lake. Simple pleasures, Italian style.

Jutta will warmly welcome you to one of her most beloved places in Northern Italy.
